How does the card scanner work?

Take a photo of the card with your camera or upload an image. The AI reads the name, set and card number and suggests matching cards from our database – you confirm the right one. If a market price exists, you see it with its data age.

Which languages are recognised when scanning?

The card data covers German, English, French and Japanese, matched against two card databases. Other card languages are not covered yet.

Where do the card prices come from?

Prices come from public TCG price sources and are cached. The app shows the age of each price so you can see how current it is and refresh it when needed.

Do I need an account to get started?

Yes, to save your collection. Getting started is free: free users scan up to 10 cards per day, with card data in German, English, French and Japanese and market prices where available.

How does “Get free Pro Access” work?

Sign up with your email and get a personal invite link. Every friend who confirms their email through that link and creates a free account counts as one referral. After 3 successful referrals your account is upgraded to Pro automatically – no payment details required.

What counts as a successful referral?

Accepted Answer

A referral only counts once the invited user (1) clicks the confirmation link in their email, (2) creates a TradeNScan account and (3) has signed in at least once. Registered email addresses without an account, or unconfirmed addresses, do not count.

How long is Pro via referrals valid?

Accepted Answer

Pro unlocked through 3 successful referrals stays valid permanently as long as your account is active. It does not renew automatically and needs no payment details. Switching to a paid plan (e.g. Collector Elite) later is always possible.

What happens if I already have a subscription?

If you already have a paid Pro or Elite subscription via Stripe, the referral reward is applied as a credit. You can see the exact calculation in your subscription management. Collector Elite remains separately bookable at any time.

Can I refer the same person more than once?

Accepted Answer

No. Each email address counts only once. If a friend already registered through another link, the referral is not counted twice. The system checks this server-side to prevent abuse.

How long does activation take?

Accepted Answer

Verification and activation happen automatically once your 3rd friend has completed all steps. Your Pro status is usually active within a few minutes. You can track your progress in settings under “Refer friends”.
